Recap of the 2006 UAW-Daimler Chrysler 400:Once again the Roush Racing teams looked as if they were going to finish with all 5 teams in the top 10. Matt Kenseth led 146 laps, and looked as if the race was his to lose. Mark Martin looked strong early in the race but faded a little to finish 6th. Greg Biffle also had a notable 8th place finish. Both Jamie McMurray and Carl Edwards failed to finish in the top 20.
The most exciting part of the race was the final two laps were Kenseth's car started to fade, and Jimmie Johnson charged to take advantage. In the end, Jimmie Johnson took the lead coming out of turn four to win by half a car length.
Other notable finishes:
Kyle Busch - 3rd
Kasey Kahne - 4th
Jeff Gordon - 5th
